Fosston is located in central Polk County along US Highway 2.
Fosston
is 44 miles east of Crookston and 46 miles northwest of Bemidji.

Fosston much like our other northwest communities portrays mild
summers and cold winters .
The average high temperature through out the summer
74 degrees; while the average low is 47 degrees. The winter offers
some cooler weather with average highs and lows of 18 and -5. The

The Fosston school district caters to kids ranging from pre-school
through grade 12 . Magelssen Elementary houses pre school through
grade six and the high school houses grades 7-12.
